Washing Systems

The first major step in most fresh-cut operations is the washing and decontamination of the products. We offer washes for all fruits and vegetables.
We offer single, double (a 4-step wash and our most popular-shown at right), triple, barrel, and conveyor washes using spray bars. Most systems are custom built to your specific operation. Let us know what your application is and we will guide you to the most effective wash for your product(s).

Disinfection

Today, a product free of Algae, Bacteria, E Coli, Listeria, Botrytis, Salmonella, etc... is absolutely critical. We offer different methods to achieve this; copper ionization and the Klorman In-Line method. Either can be installed in new wash systems or into an existing one.

Copper Ionization is the most thorough method- put simply; it uses positively charged copper ions to kill the negatively charged algae, bacteria, and/or pathogens.

The Klorman In-Line provides a continuous, controlled dosing of solid chlorine into the wash system. This is typically done in the first section of a wash and then a clean water rinse is used prior to the product exiting the wash.

Drying

After the wash is the drying process. Depending on your product we have several different options available. The photo to the left shows an air knife conveyor that would flip a product. This is especially useful in the drying of leafy products such as lettuce and spinach. We also offer centrifugal spin dryers for up to 75 lb loads(shown below).
